Tirumala, June 22, 2013: The sacred ‘Lakshmi Haram’, which generally adorns the presiding deity of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala temple, will be carried out in a procession to the famous temple of Lord Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy temple at Appalayagunta situated about 20 km, on Saturday.

The sacrosanct golden ‘haram’ will be adorned to the deity on the eve of the auspicious ‘Garuda Seva’ as part of the annual Brahmotsavams currently underway at the Appalyagunta temple.

After observing special poojas at the hill temple, the antique ‘Lakshmi Haram’ will be brought down to Tirupati by the temple priests and authorities from where it will be carried out in a procession along the thoroughfares of the town encompassing the Srinivasam complex.
