Tiruvarur district: The annual month-long special Maha Ganapathy homam will be performed from July 17 to August 16, at Sri Muthannaval Samadhi at the Sengalipuram village in Tiruvarur district. Vedic scholars, led by A. Advarapathy Dikshitar, agnihotri and mantramoorthy of Sengalipuram, hailing from the family of late Anantharama Dikshithar, will perform the homam from 7 a.m. during the month-long programme. Besides these, several other pujas and special homams including Dharana Saraswathi Mahamanthra Japa homam and Medha Sukta japam will be performed during the period.
