Communication was cut off with the 54 stranded pilgrims of Nellore who were stuck at Doonda village near Yamunotri as on Wednesday night.

Efforts by the district administration to reach the pilgrims over cellphones were unsuccessful. However, the officials said that there was nothing to fear as there was no adverse report about the condition of the Nellore pilgrims so far.

To assist in the relief operations, Rao Travels’ representative, Sudhakar Rao, was sent to Dehradun on Wednesday.
