A high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy here on Tuesday decided to complete the Sabarimala master plan projects within a specific time frame and ensure the coordination of the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) and other departments.

Sewage treatment

A flyover will be constructed at Malikapuram and an underpass at Marakoottam. A sewage treatment plant will be set up at Sabarimala within 18 months starting from August. Work on Swami Ayyappan Road will be completed soon.

Work on the Pampa-Sannidhanam parallel water line will be completed before the festival season. Permanent barricades will be installed wherever needed.

Zero-waste project

Two ‘annadana’ mandapams will be constructed at Sannidhanam at a cost of Rs.6 crore. Work on the Nilakkal bus bay is on.

The meeting directed the completion of the zero-waste project in time. A new ‘unniappam’ plant will be set up at Sannidhanam.
