CHENNAI, June 30, 2013: The last batch of 23 pilgrims who were stranded in Gala in Pithoragarh district in Uttarakhand returned to Chennai by air on Saturday evening.

The pilgrims were on their way to Adhi Kailash and they could not go beyond Gala as landslides were reported beyond that area.

Those who came from abroad boarded their flights back home from New Delhi, the authorities said.
