BATHINDA: Concerned by widespread loss caused by flash floods to human lives and property in Uttrakhand, Bathinda police has decided to donate one day salary to flood relief fund. All the policemen of the ranks right from constable to senior superintendent of police will contribute in the flood relief fund. 

Bathinda SSP Ravcharan Singh Brar said "The Bathinda has work force of more than 2700 personnel right from constable to SSP and one day salary will work out to be around Rs 24 lakh". He said the police force has decided to stand by the aggrieved persons in this hour of crisis and we have set up a assistance cell at bus stand to be manned by a DSP. The cell will help out the pilgrims coming from Uttrakhand in supporting them to reach their respective villages. 

Meanwhile a PRTC bus carrying 31 pilgrims including 4 women on Saturday evening reached at Bathinda bus stand and Bathinda KK Yadav welcomed the pilgrims at the bus stand and a team of doctors checked the pilgrims.
