Tirumala: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) management has made elaborate arrangements for the conduct of the three-day annual ‘Jyestabhishekam’ at the hill temple of Lord Venkateswara scheduled to begin from Thursday.

Immense importance is attached to the festival which is performed once in a year in the month of Jyesta. History has it that the festival contributes to the longevity of the archa-vigraha of the deity.

As part of the festival, the processional deities of Malayappa swamy and his two consorts will be provided with ‘Vajra Kavacham’ (Diamond armour) on the first day followed by Muthyapu kavacham.
