UTTARAKHAND: The Meterological Department has released a weather forecast report stating that rain is expected to increase over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Rain could be heavy to very heavy at one or two places in the hills that might result in landslides.

 A trough of low pressure persists in western parts of northwest India. It will move eastwards during the next 24 to 48 hours. During its movement, rain will be received at many places over Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

 Heavy to very heavy rain has been forecast in the hills of Uttarakhand.

Pilgrims undertaking the various pilgrimages should be careful while travelling in these areas.
