Devotees throng Bhadrachalam on Hanuman Jayanti

Bhadrachalam, the abode of Lord Sri Seetharamachandra Swamy, witnessed a virtual deluge of devotees on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti on Monday.

Devotees from various parts of the district and the neighbouring districts flocked to the temple town from the small hours of the day. Those, who embraced Deekshas, performed special rituals invoking the blessings of Lord Hanuman, the ardent disciple of Lord Seetharamachandra Swamy.

The idol of Lord Hanuman situated inside the temple complex was tastefully decorated with flowers and leaves. A host of special pujas and rituals such as Abhishekam, Laksha Kunkumarchana, Tamalapaku Puja and Tiru Veedhi Seva were performed on the occasion.

Meanwhile, Hanuman Jayanti was celebrated with devotion and religious fervour at Anjaneya Swamy temples in Khammam and other parts of the district.

Ceremonial processions, recital of Bhajans in praise of Lord Hanuman, Abhishekams, Aku Pujas and other holy programmes marked the celebration of Hanuman Jayanti in the district headquarters. Poor feeding, distribution of fruits and coconuts among other charity activities were also organised under the aegis of the Hanuman devotees associations at different places in the district.

Hanumath Jayanti was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety across Prakasam district on Monday.

Devotees from far and near visited the famous Anjaneyaswamy temples at Singarakonda and Darsi, among other places, in the district, to perform special poojas to the Ramadhutha for health, wealth and prosperity.
